French Onion Soup

Here’s a delicious recipe from Food Wishes for French onion soup.

It’s an ideal way to use up extra onions and it’s cheap to make too.

The addition of the supersized crouton and plenty of cheese really turns it into a filling meal.

This video uses two American cheeses but you’ll probably find that gruyere makes for a better taste and is the traditional cheese to use – even though it’s Swiss!
