Simple Swiss Chard
Here’s a really quick and simple recipe from Rob’s Raised Beds for cooking the popular crop Swiss chard.
Both the silky leaves and crunchy stalks are used in this delicious dish so none of your harvest is wasted.
Just like with spinach the Swiss chard really reduces down once cooked so make sure you add plenty of it!
In this recipe the cook uses bacon fat but you could substitute this for olive oil to make it a vegetarian meal.
The only other ingredients you’ll need are red onion, pine nuts, garlic, raisins and a squeeze of lemon juice.
